COVID SAFETY PRECAUTIONS UPDATE (8.29.2022):
Beginning September 8th…
Proof of vaccination and weekly negative covid testing will no longer be required.
Masks and hand-washing/sanitizing (upon entrance to dojo) will continue to be required.
Physical distancing, as is possible, is recommended.
If you have any cold symptoms (cough, fever, sore throat), please refrain from coming to class.
Persons who have tested positive with Covid, should isolate for 5 days and may return to class starting from day 6 IF they test negative and have no symptoms.
Please abide by the above rules for the safety of yourself and others.

雨 – AME, TEARS OF THE EARTH

雨 – AME, TEARS of the EARTH was a live-stream virtual concert broadcast from the historic Hawaii Theatre on May 22, 2021. The concert featured a diverse group of musicians and cultures in a creative and positive response to counter the negativity and hatred occurring at the time. Black Lives Matter, Asian Hate, Anti-Immigration, Global Warming were issues prevalent at the time and which continue today.  Performers included: Kenny Endo (taiko), Peter Rockford Espiritu and Tau Dance Theatre (contemporary dance), Todd Yukumoto (sax, flute),  Abe Lagrimas Jr (ukulele, vibes, drumset), Sun Hui Hung (erhu), Maureen Kearns (dance), Taiko Center of the Pacific, and the Taiko Center of the Pacific Youth Group. Viewers tuned in live from around the globe and now you can view the concert, too!
