2024 Year of the Dragon will bring new energy and new beginnings. At
Taiko Center of the Pacific, we are happy to announce that Ai Matsuda, former TCP Performing Ensemble member will be teaching in Spring Session I. Having spent the past 8 years studying in Tokyo, she will offer classes in Edo Kotobuki Jishi, the traditional lion dance and music of old Tokyo and BON Taiko. Edo Kotobuki Jishi, the traditional lion dance of old Tokyo and its accompanying shime/okedo daiko set, and atarigane will be LIVESTREAMED for our friends around the world by TAIKO VENTURES. https://taikoventures.com/

Classes will be held on SUNDAYS (January 7-February 18; no class on February 4) in Honolulu at:
9:00-9:55 am   Lion DANCE (Edo Kotobuki Jishi)
10:00-10:55 am   SHIMEDAIKO and OKEDO (Taiko SET) for the Lion Dance
11:00-11:55 pm  ATARIGANE for the Lion Dance
You can take one, two, or all three classes.
