August 9-15 in Honolulu, Hawaii
TCP’s Artistic Director, Kenny Endo, celebrates 50 years of spreading the love of Taiko drumming throughout his career this year. A celebration is planned for August 9-15 in Honolulu, Hawaii with a US tour in the makes for Fall 2025.

August 9 – 間 MA vs GROOVE CONCERT I – Kenny Endo’s 50th Anniversary Celebration Traditional Japanese Music and Dance and Contemporary Taiko Collaborations
Guests include: Mochizuki Saburo, Suzuki Kyosuke, Okayasu Kiyora (Miura Akiko), Mochizuki Mukon (J.D. Andrade), Kineya Sakio (Bryson Goda), Fujima Saeka (Mika Yamazaki), Noel Okimoto, Dean Taba, Todd Yukumoto, Abe Lagrimas Jr, Peiling Kao and other special guests
August 10 – 間 MA vs GROOVE CONCERT II – Kenny Endo’s 50th Anniversary Celebration Taiko Center of the Pacific Adult and Youth (“YG”) Performing Ensembles and ALUMNI!

August 12-14 – 間 MA vs GROOVE WORKSHOPS The STI (Summer Taiko Intensives) Workshops by master artists from Japan, the continent, and locally including:
Mochizuki Saburo, Suzuki Kyosuke, Mochizuki Mukon (J.D. Andrade), Shoji Kameda, Hiroshi “Rosh” Tanaka, and other special guests
August 12-14 – 間 MA vs GROOVE Nightly CULTURAL PROGRAMS
Hogaku Hayashi with Mochizuki Saburo, Edo Sato Kagura with Suzuki Kyosuke, and Contemporary Taiko with Kenny Endo
August 15 – U.S. Premiere Film Screening of “Healing Beats” a documentary about taiko by Ivan Munoz Ureta

With concern for everyone’s safety in light of the unpredictable and severe storm warnings, all TCP classes and practices have been CANCELLED for today, Thursday, January 30, 2025.
Odaiko, Adult Beginning II, and Adult Intermediate Taiko students can make up today’s class by attending one Uchikomi class on any Sunday 5-5:50 pm or Tuesday 5-5:50 pm through February 20, 2025. If you prefer a refund for today’s class, arrangements can be made by contacting: taikoarts@taikoarts.com
