SO PROUD of our Artistic Director, Kenny Endo, on being named one of three “Living Treasures of Hawaii” by the Honpa Hongwanji Mission of Hawaii! Honored along with Endo sensei were Keali’i Reichel, renown kumu hula, musician, recording artist, scholar, cultural practitioner, and community leader; and Patrick Kirch, a scholar and noted researcher on Polynesia Archaeology. CONGRATULATIONS TO THE HONOREES!
The Living Treasures of Hawai’i™, sponsored by the Honpa Hongwanji Mission of Hawai`i, is traditionally conducted through a celebratory luncheon. However, due to Covid safety concerns, they will be recognized in a program that will be broadcast on Sunday, May 22, 2022 at 6pm on KHNL and live-streamed on the Hawaii News Now Facebook page and Thursday, May 26 at 7pm on KFVE.
